Ethan & Emilie Tapscott have been married since December of 2011. Although most would still consider them “newly-weds” they have a lot of education in the marriage field as their personal experience continues to grow.

Emilie Tapscott studied “Marriage & Family” under Dr. Juli Slattery at Focus on the Family‘s Leadership Institute in 2009. She continued to study relationships at University of Illinois Springfield and Lincoln Christian University as she earned a degree in Interpersonal Communication. After graduating, Emilie worked as the Marriage Education Program Supervisor at a non-profit in Ohio called Marriage Works! There she trained facilitators of pre-marital, marriage enrichment, and divorce intervention courses, as well as teaching said classes with her husband.

 

Ethan Tapscott studied “Worship Ministry” at Lincoln Christian University. Since his time at LCU, Ethan has worked in Christian Churches in both creative arts and pastoral roles. Having been impacted by his parent’s divorce, Ethan believes strongly in the importance of starting your marriage strong and choosing to invest daily into one’s marriage. Ethan chose to become certified to teach several marriage programs such as PICK & LINKS.

 

 

Believing in the importance of strong marriages, and loving the work of engaging with couples Ethan & Emilie decided to partner together to offer pre-marital counseling through Les & Leslie Parrot’s SYMBIS program.
